Running for president

I joined the UWO badminton club during my first year here at Western.  It was the president of the club, Calvin that talked me into trying it out.  From then on, I've been playing very religiously -- two times a week for 3-4 hrs!  Now the president of the club will be graduating.  He recommended that I run for his position!  However, there's 3 other people who are interested in the position.  I was nervous that the guy - Yu, who has been on the exec team for years would get the votes of the people.  Calvin could override all the votes people of the club made, but he believes in a democratic system and promised he wouldn't waive any votes.  (haha, bad news for me, i'm friends with him!)  He even counted all the votes at the gym with a witness!  In the end, when he announced the positions, I was surprised!

"Sally will be president!!"

Happy Jolly Day!

So many good things happened today!

Finally found a 3 bedroom apartment, and payed the last month's rent to hold the unit.  It feels really warm to have a home for next year and that I'll be living with a Chui Chow human!  hahaha, my own kind!

Then we went to eat KFC, because it's toonie tuesday.  It wasn't very filling, but at least we got a ride from David.  From our apartment, to the bank and and back to our new apartment.  He was so kind.

Then, I found out about my term test mark!  I'm very impressed with it.  :)

Lastly, I will be getting free food from the badminton club!  Don't have to wash dishes tonight!  YEY!!!

lost and found.

On Thursday, March 16th, my wallet slipped out of my jacket on the bus.  A nice lady e-mailed me and let me know she returned it to info source -- main campus of western.

I was at school on the weekend and this guy has a laptop.  As he was leaving, he packed up everything except his laptop charger!  Oh no... so I tried to run after him.. but he disappeared!  Then this guy reappeared!  OMG, I said you left this...  uh-oh!  Wrong guy... asian look a-like.

So I posted my e-mail where he plugged in his laptop, and he e-mailed me back.

Today, he came by to pick up his laptop charger and thanked me by giving me 10 bucks.  I didn't take it because I lost my wallet twice, and they didn't take the money from me either.

It's a cycle....
